New Japan Pro-Wrestling was scheduled to continue their ‘Summer Struggle’ tour today in Uwajima but the company pushed out a notification which read that today’s event has been cancelled. In the announcement, it’s noted that a talent who was booked for the show developed a fever. Said talent immediately underwent additional COVID-19 testing but NJPW is still waiting on the results.

NJPW felt that it was best for the fans and talents to cancel the show and refunds are being issued to those who purchased a ticket to the event.

New Japan is on the road to their ‘Summer Struggle’ show in Jingu Stadium on August 29th, which is being headlined by EVIL versus Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental and Heavyweight Championships. New Japan is also in the midst of the New Japan Cup USA tournament that’ll continue this Friday on NJPW World.
