On Friday Night SmackDown, a challenger for the SmackDown women’s title was determined after a Triple Brand Battle Royal involving the female talent.
Asuka won the battle royal and will now receive a title shot against Bayley for the SmackDown women’s title while also challenging Sasha Banks for the Raw women’s championship at SummerSlam.
The battle royal came down to Asuka and Shayna Baszler with Asuka reversing out of the Kirifuda Clutch to flip Baszler over the top to the floor.
On SmackDown, Mandy Rose challenged Sonya Deville to a Hair vs. Hair match stemming from the attack by Deville two weeks ago. Deville accepted the challenge and is the latest addition to the card next weekend.
