Breezango (Tyler Breeze & Fandango) competed in a Triple-Threat tag team match on the NXT TakeOver: XXX pre-show and they outlasted Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch and Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde) to become the #1 contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championships. Breezango will get their title match on the 8/26 episode of NXT on the USA Network as they challenge the champions Imperium (Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel).

Aichner and Barthel successfully defended the titles several weeks ago on NXT when they defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. Imperium officially won the titles on May 13th.
NXT also announced that Isaiah “Swerve” Scott is challenging Santos Escobar for the Cruiserweight Championship. Tomorrow’s program will also feature the NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Scarlett making an appearance, along with the new North American Champion Damian Priest appearing.
NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai is set to team with Rhea Ripley to take on Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.
It was reported earlier today by Pro Wrestling Sheet that former multi-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett will be on commentary for the 8/26 episode of NXT. The upNXT crew are set to review tomorrow’s show on their YouTube channel.
