MLW signs Kevin Ku, Ku set to debut at tapings in October

Independent wrestler Kevin Ku has signed with Major League Wrestling. He will debut at their tapings in October.

Major League Wrestling made the announcement that they’ve signed independent wrestler Kevin Ku. Ku has been wrestling for close to seven years and has competed for Black Label Pro, Beyond Wrestling, C4 Underground, ACTION Wrestling and many more independent promotions across North America. Below is MLW’s press release about Ku’s signing:

NEW YORK – Major League Wrestling today announced the signing of Kevin Ku as the league advances in its restart set for this Fall.

“My excitement for signing with MLW cannot be understated,” said Ku. “I truly believe that they are one of the last raw wrestling companies who foster an environment of realness that’s missing from the world of pro wrestling. I can’t wait to bring my brand of violence and bring MLW to new heights and win championship gold.”

Employing rapid-fire striking and an unrelenting offensive assault, Kevin Ku is a ferocious fighter.

“Kevin has all of the qualities I look for when we recruit our athletes,” said MLW CEO Court Bauer. “He’s the perfect fit for the restart and I look forward to seeing his debut this Fall.”

Advocating a “violence is forever’ mantra, Kevin Ku backs it up in the ring.

A versatile athlete with a background in karate and Olympic weightlifting, Ku is an experienced singles and tag team competitor who can quickly shift from a technical fight game to scrapping in brawls in a flash.

Sporting News conducted an interview with Kevin Ku to promote his signing. Ku revealed that he was supposed to debut with the organization prior to the COVID-19 pandemic but the show that he was scheduled for ended up being cancelled.

“I’m so excited. My first show that I was supposed to be on happened to be the first show that was canceled during the pandemic. All the air got let out my balloon. I was like, ‘Well, now I guess I have to wait.’ Then I was just talking back and forth with Tom and (MLW owner) Court (Bauer). It’s hard to watch Fusion and then be like sitting there and thinking I could have been on some of these tapings. It’s been six months now. It’s pretty much like six months of pent up frustration that I couldn’t just get in there and get started.”

MLW announced its restart after not having been ran a live show since their joint-event with AAA in March.
