Eric Young captured the IMPACT World Championship several weeks ago on IMPACT on AXS TV by defeating Eddie Edwards. Young had already been feuding with Rich Swann after Young injured Swann to the point where Swann considered retirement in storyline. On tonight’s edition of IMPACT, Swann had a segment with IMPACT Co-Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore and talked about how much he wanted to face Eric Young. By the conclusion of the segment, the match was made official that at Bound For Glory on 10/24, Swann will challenge Young for the IMPACT World Championship.

Since Swann’s return to IMPACT, he has won the X Division Title and was named the division’s star of the year in 2019. The IMPACT World Title changed hands twice in the span of a month over the Summer and Rich Swann is next in line to challenge for the gold.
