AEW Dynamite notes: Cody returns, Chris Jericho celebration on 10/7, Miro

Cody Rhodes made his return and is coming after Brodie Lee, Chris Jericho will celebrate 30 years in the wrestling business, Miro successful in his debut and several matches set up for the 9/30 Dynamite.

On the August 13th edition of Dynamite, Cody was defeated for the TNT Championship in quick fashion by Brodie Lee. After a month of not appearing on Dynamite, Cody made his return tonight after Lee defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the TNT Title. Cody took out The Dark Order during his return. In a backstage segment after everything unfolded, Brodie Lee challenged Cody to a Dog Collar match.

It was announced that on October 7th, Chris Jericho will be celebrated for his 30 years in the wrestling business. Back in July, Chris Jericho revealed that he’ll be releasing a book in October which will be a book of every match he’s had in wrestling. Also, while Jericho was on-screen on Dynamite, he was reunited with Sammy Guevara.

 

Miro opened Dynamite and made his AEW in-ring debut. He and Kip Sabian bested Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss.

Scheduled for next week is a singles match between Isiah Kassidy and Chris Jericho, along with the return of Britt Baker. Ricky Starks will meet Darby Allin, S.C.U. (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) are facing FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) in a non-title match and the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is making an appearance as well.
