Robert Roode returns to WWE, challenges Drew McIntyre for WWE Title

Former RAW Tag Team Champion Robert Roode made his return to WWE and challenged Drew McIntyre for the world title.

To kick off the 9/28 episode of Monday Night RAW, Drew McIntyre issued an open challenge to anyone who has not already challenged for the WWE Championship during his title reign. Answering that challenge in the main event with an introduction from Dolph Ziggler was the returning Robert Roode.

Roode was unsuccessful in defeating McIntyre for the title. This was Roode’s first match since the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view which was a few days before the Coronavirus outbreak began. Roode is a resident of Canada.

Throughout Roode’s time on RAW and SmackDown, he has won the RAW Tag Titles twice and is a former United States Champion. A new episode of Rewind-A-RAW will be up on the site and to listen to the latest episode of the podcast, click this link.
