NJPW’s World Tag League, Best of the Super Juniors tourneys to run at the same time

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is presenting their Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League tournaments concurrently.

With three months left until New Japan Pro-Wrestling wraps up their calendar year with the next Wrestle Kingdom event, the company announced that the Best of the Super Juniors and World Tag League tournaments will be happening this year. Both tournaments are happening concurrently and kick off on November 15th, shortly after the ‘Power Struggle’ event on November 7th.

The finals for both shows are happening on December 12th at the Nippon Budokan. Best of the Super Juniors normally kicks off in May while World Tag League kicks off in November. Both events were in question due to the Coronavirus pandemic but New Japan has resumed their operations with fans in arenas.

They’ll limit the number of wrestlers on the double tour and after the opening show, the participants in their respective tournaments are going to alternate show nights up until the final stretch of respective tournament matches. Here’s the schedule as of this writing:

Sunday November 15, Dolphins Arena, Aichi

World Tag League 2020, Best of the Super Jr. 27 opening night
