AEW announced several championship matches for their Anniversary show on October 14th. As previously announced, Jon Moxley is defending the AEW World Championship against Lance Archer. Archer earned that shot by winning the Casino Battle Royale at All Out. He tested positive for COVID-19 several weeks ago which caused changes to be made to the match he was scheduled to be in on the day he revealed his positive test, but he’ll be back in action next week. Along with that, Cody is defending the TNT Title against Orange Cassidy. Cody won the title back from Brodie Lee during tonight’s Dynamite. Also, FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) are defending their AEW World Tag Team Titles against Best Friends (Chuckie T & Trent).
To celebrate Chris Jericho’s 30 years in pro wrestling, a number of stars from various genres sent in congratulatory messages to Jericho for his milestone. Among the many names were Hiroshi Tanahashi, Lance Storm, Don Callis, Ultimo Dragon and Ted Irvine, father of Chris Jericho.

Additions have been made to the eight-man tournament that’ll conclude at Full Gear. Joining Kenny Omega, Rey Fenix and Jungle Boy in the tournament are Colt Cabana, Wardlow and Adam Hangman Page. The winner of the tourney will get a shot at the AEW World Championship.
Will Hobbs was not successful in his attempt to capture the FTW Championship from Brian Cage. After the match, Hobbs was confronted by Taz, Cage and Ricky Starks and was given an ultimatum and that was to either join Team Taz or be beaten down by the group. Before he could answer, Darby Allin made his way to the ring.
