Vice TV has confirmed that Dark Side of the Ring is coming back for a third season with an expanded order of 14 episodes in 2021.

The episode order is an expansion from six episodes in the first season, and ten in season two.

The series debuted in April 2019 and immediately became a big hit on Vice TV (formerly Viceland). The first season peaked with 234,000 viewers for “The Last of the Von Erichs” with other episodes covering the Montreal Screwjob, The Killing of Bruiser Brody, and The Mysterious Death of Gino Hernandez.

Season two launched this past March with the two-hour premiere covering the story of Chris Benoit and averaged 320,000 viewers that destroyed its previous record. That record was broken by the season two finale covering Owen Hart that hit 349,000 viewers with a 0.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic. Other subjects covered in season two included the Road Warriors, Dr. D David Schultz, New Jack, and Herb Abrams.

The executive producers of the series are Evan Husney and Jason Eisener. The series is produced by Vice Studios Canada and has a partnership with Crave, which is a property of Bell Media.
