Pentagon Jr. and Fenix competed in the first-round of the AEW World Championship Eliminator tournament this week on Dynamite. Fenix was victorious in the match but was hurt during it as well. It was noted in today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fenix suffered a neck injury during the match.
AEW released a video onto their social media channels which features Eddie Kingston, Fenix and Pentagon Jr. Due to Fenix’s injury, Pentagon is being awarded the win for their match and he’ll move on to the semi-finals to take on Kenny Omega. The finals of the tournament is scheduled for Full Gear on November 7th and the winner will be the next challenger to the AEW World Championship.

The current lineup for the semi-finals are Kenny Omega versus Pentagon Jr. along with Wardlow versus Hangman Page.
Eddie Kingston is set to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Full Gear in a ‘I Quit’ match.
