Sasha Banks becomes SmackDown Women’s Champion at WWE Hell In A Cell

Sasha Banks ends Bayley's record-long title reign as SmackDown Women's Champion at WWE Hell In A Cell.

The second Hell In A Cell match of the WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view was Sasha Banks taking on Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Banks and Bayley utilized kendo sticks, tables, chairs and a ladder during their match and at the end, Sasha Banks used a chair to help add on to the pressure of the Banks Statement submission maneuver to tap Bayley out and become SmackDown Women’s Champion for the first time in her career.

Bayley’s reign as SmackDown Women’s Champion dated back to October of 2019.

With this win, Sasha Banks has become a Grand Slam Champion in WWE under its current standard. She has been RAW Women’s Champion, NXT Women’s Champion, Women’s Tag Team Champion and is now SmackDown Women’s Champion.
