Co-main-eventing NJPW’s Power Struggle event on November 7th was Kota Ibushi versus Jay White. Kota’s IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championship challenger rights were on the line. The individual in possession of the briefcase has the opportunity to challenge for both titles at the Tokyo Dome on either January 4th or January 5th.

At the conclusion of the match, Jay White had Ibushi pinned near the ropes and White’s feet were on the top rope but the referee did not see it and counted to three. The official was later told what had happened but the decision was made and Jay White walked away with the briefcase.

White is now in possession of the briefcase that’ll guide him to a main-event spot at Wrestle Kingdom for the second year in a row.

POST Wrestling will have a recap of the show up on the site following its conclusion and to keep up with the news coming out of Power Struggle, head over to the “news” section of the site.
