The first title match of NJPW’s Power Struggle show featured Minoru Suzuki defending the NEVER Openweight Championship against Shingo Takagi. This is the third time that the two men have met in the ring over the past several months, once including a G1 tournament match.

After battling it out in a back and forth bout, it was Shingo Takagi emerging victorious to become the NEVER Openweight Champion for the second time in his two-year run with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Suzuki beat Takagi for the NEVER Title over the Summer at the Jingu Stadium show and three months later, Takagi regained the title by besting Suzuki.

Following the show, there will be a report up on POST Wrestling which will cover all bases from NJPW Power Struggle and that article can be located at this link.
