Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush is jumping into another portion of entertainment as he was officially announced as a cast member of MTV’s competition show, The Challenge. This forthcoming season is the 36th season of the longstanding show and it’s titled ‘Double Agents’. It premieres on December 9th and the show was filmed in Iceland.

The competitors on the program are competing for their share of $1 million. After each episode, there will be a new podcast episode uploaded to the ‘MTV’s Official Challenge Podcast’ feed with guests and a recap of each episode.

Lio Rush is one of nine first-timers of the show. On top of this appearance, Rush told Wrestling Inc. that he joined the cast of a Power Rangers film. The 26-year old Maryland native regularly competes for Game Changer Wrestling and was a part of the recent MLW tapings for the organization’s Restart on November 18th.

Last week, Rush was announced for the 2020 Super J-Cup tournament along with the likes of ACH, Blake Christian and former IMPACT X Division Champion Chris Bey.
