For the second time in his career, Drew McIntyre has become WWE Champion. McIntyre and the former champion Randy Orton headlined the 11/16 episode of Monday Night RAW and after a match that went over 15 minutes, McIntyre emerged victorious to regain the championship that he lost to Orton at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view in October.

The beginning portion of their match saw Orton attempt to retain the title by count out but WWE official Adam Pearce announced that McIntyre and Orton’s match would be contested under no count outs and disqualifications.
With McIntyre’s victory, he is now going to be representing RAW at Survivor Series as he’ll take on Universal Champion Roman Reigns. McIntyre appeared on the most recent episode of SmackDown to confront Reigns about Survivor Series. McIntyre defeated Jey Uso on that show.
