AAA has officially announced the date for their biggest show of the year in Triplemania. The event is scheduled to take place on December 12th and additional information concerning the event will be revealed on November 30th via a presser on Facebook.

Triplemania XXVIII was originally scheduled for August 22nd but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This past July, AAA owner Dorian Roldan addressed the situation and stated the following:

I think when it comes to the celebration of TripleMania XXVIII, due to the sanitary situation going on around our country, it won’t be possible to do the show on August 22. It’s important to note that we are still exploring other alternatives to have this TripleMania event happen in 2020 and it will be in accordance with how the pandemic develops in the coming months. I want to reiterate that August 22 is not possible, but that we are looking to do TripleMania XXVIII with the proper health guidelines in 2020.

Announced for the show is Kenny Omega defending the AAA Mega Championship against Laredo Kid. Omega is challenging Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship on the 12/2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
