Coming off of their ‘Winter Is Coming’ episode of Dynamite which saw the All Elite Wrestling debut of Sting and Kenny Omega winning the AEW World Title, AEW announced several segments for this week’s edition of Dynamite. Previously announced was an interview segment featuring Tony Schiavone chatting with Sting and adding on to that, NBA Hall Of Famer and multi-time NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal has been announced for the show.
Shaq was backstage at AEW’s Full Gear pay-per-view in November. His name was also mentioned on Dynamite by Jade Cargill during her Dynamite debut. She confronted Cody Rhodes on the show and mentioned that “Shaq” was one giant that Cody was not going to slay.

Shaq appeared on WWE programming multiple times in the past and he wrestled around with The Big Show at WrestleMania 32 in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Back in August, when it was announced that Shaq signed a contract extension with Turner Sports, he spoke with The Athletic’s Richard Deitsch and told him that he’d love to work with Cody.
