On 12/20, WWE will hold their first pay-per-view inside of the new home of the ThunderDome, Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The TLC PPV is nearing closer and additions are being made to the card. At the event, New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) are set to defend their RAW Tag Team Championships against Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Business.
On the 11/16 and 11/23 episodes of RAW, Woods and Kingston defeated Alexander and Benjamin in RAW Tag Title matches. Over the past several weeks, Alexander has scored singles wins over both Woods and Kingston which led to this match at TLC being set up.
