With the holidays about to begin, we have learned that the WWE SmackDown crew will be going live with a new episode on New Year’s Day.
This year Christmas and New Year’s Day land on a Friday, and directly affect the SmackDown portion of the main roster.
It was reported earlier this week by Gary Cassidy of Inside the Ropes that the December 25th episode of Friday Night SmackDown would be taped in advance so that talent and crew could have the holiday off.
Multiple people informed POST Wrestling that they will return for a live show on Friday, January 1, 2021.
The shows are taking place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida beginning tonight.
