NJPW 2020 World Tag League winners crowned

For the first time in their careers as a duo, Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) won World Tag League.

The semi-main event of today’s New Japan show in Budokan featured the finals of the World Tag League tournament. At the top of the bracket for World Tag League was FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay) along with Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa).

Emerging victorious and being crowned the tournament winners were the Guerrillas of Destiny. Throughout their years as a team, they’ve never won World Tag League until now. The duo have either made it to the finals and lost or they walked into Wrestle Kingdom as IWGP Tag Team Champions.

This was Finlay and Juice’s second consecutive appearance in the finals of World Tag League, as last year they defeated EVIL and SANADA in the finals and went on to Wrestle Kingdom 14 to defeat Tanga and Tama for the tag titles.

As of this writing, there were no official additions to Wrestle Kingdom 15 but here’s the official card for night one and two:

Night One
* IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Championships: Tetsuya Naito (c) vs. Kota Ibushi
* Will Ospreay vs. Kazuchika Okada

Night Two
* IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Championships: TBD (c) vs. Jay White (w/ Gedo)
