Charlotte Flair & Asuka win Women’s Tag Team Titles at WWE TLC

Charlotte Flair made her return at WWE TLC and won the Women's Tag Team Titles alongside RAW Women's Champion Asuka.

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka went into tonight’s Women’s Tag Team Title match at the WWE TLC pay-per-view without a partner. Asuka’s announced partner was Lana but Lana was injured by the champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on RAW. This led to a mystery partner being teased to team with Asuka and that partner was revealed as former 12-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

Flair last wrestled on WWE programming back in June when she challenged Asuka for the RAW Women’s Title. Flair explained her absence from WWE TV via social media and it had to do with silicone poisoning from implants. In Flair’s first match back, she tapped out Shayna Baszler to win championship gold once again.

On the June 22nd edition of RAW, Charlotte was written off TV after an attack by Nia Jax. With this win, Asuka has become a two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Her first reign was alongside Kairi Sane.
