NFL Hall Of Famer & former WCW talent Kevin Greene passes away

Kevin Greene, NFL Hall Of Famer and former WCW competitor passed away at the age of 58.

Kevin Greene, who was an NFL Hall Of Famer and had several stints in WCW passed away at the age of 58.

The news was confirmed by the official Pro Football Hall Of Fame Twitter account. There is an obit up about Greene’s life and career on the Pro Football Hall Of Fame website that can be read here. Kevin played Linebacker and Defensive End for the Rams, Steelers, Panthers and was a linebacker coach for several years in the NFL.

His connection to pro wrestling on the in-ring front began in the 90s in World Championship Wrestling. He was involved in a storyline with Steve McMichael, also known as “Mongo”. Greene had the chance to team with Roddy Piper, Goldberg and Ric Flair during his run in pro wrestling and he took on the likes of the nWo.

Greene was married and is survived by his wife, son and daughter. He finished his NFL career at the number three spot for all-time sacks and he’s a member of the Alabama Sports Hall Of Fame.
