The 12/29 episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS was part two of the company’s year-end special. Along with announcing the remainder of the 2020 year-end award winners, it was announced that at their Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 16th, Deonna Purrazzo is defending the Knockouts Championship against Taya Valkyrie.
Deonna first won the title from Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary in July. She went on to lose the title to Su Yung at Bound For Glory and won the title back the following month. Taya Valkyrie reigned as Knockouts Champion from January of 2019 to January 2020.
On the 12/15 episode of IMPACT, Deonna Purrazzo played a role in costing Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary a spot in the finals of the Knockouts Tag Team Title tournament. The two will now clash at Hard To Kill for Deonna’s title.
