NJPW reveals cards for New Beginning tour, Jay White not announced

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is gearing up for their New Beginning tour which includes multiple title matches. Jay White is not on this tour.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held a press conference to announce the cards for their New Beginning tour which kicks off on January 17th at Korakuen Hall. The complete cards for each show can be found on the NJPW1972.com website. The tour wraps up with two shows on February 10th and 11th in Hiroshima. Headlining night two is Kota Ibushi defending the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships against SANADA. SANADA issued the challenge to Ibushi after Ibushi’s win over Jay White on night two of Wrestle Kingdom 15. Jay White is not a part of this tour.

On February 10th, SHO is getting his shot at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title when he takes on Hiromu Takahashi and along with that title match is an IWGP Tag Team Title bout that will see Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) defending the titles against Zack Sabre Jr. and Taichi who they beat at Wrestle Kingdom for the belts. The 2/10 show also includes a singles match between Master Wato and BUSHI.

The following matches are headlining NJPW’s 1/30 show in Nagoya:

* NEVER Openweight Championship: Shingo Takagi (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
* Satoshi Kojima vs. Will Ospreay
* Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Great-O-Khan

At the Road to New Beginning show on January 23rd at the Ota Prefectural Gymnasium, Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo are challenging El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru for the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.
