Private Party earn shot at IMPACT Tag Team Championships

Private Party, alongside Matt Hardy appeared on IMPACT on AXS, competed in the main event and earned themselves a IMPACT Tag Title match.

Tonight’s edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS saw the current IMPACT Tag Team Champions Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson attempt to address their next move coming off of their win alongside Kenny Omega at Hard To Kill. By the end of the night, Gallows and Anderson came face-to-face with their new challengers, Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy of AEW who are known as Private Party.

At the beginning of the show, Anderson and Gallows were confronted by Chris Sabin and the returning James Storm who stated that they wanted a shot at the tag titles. Joining the fray was Private Party who were accompanied to the ring by former two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion Matt Hardy. A match was soon made official between the two non-champion teams for the main event.

At ringside for the match was AEW producer Jerry Lynn and AEW President Tony Khan. Towards the conclusion of the bout, Lynn got involved and grabbed the foot of Chris Sabin who was about to jump off the second rope which led to Sabin being hit with a “Gin & Juice” from Private Party to secure the win and a shot at the IMPACT Tag Team Championships.

There was a brawl between all three parties as the show went off the air. The first episode of Deep IMPACT with Davie Portman will be live to recap the action and that will be on the upNXT feed and on the POST Wrestling site.
