During Saturday’s UFC broadcast, the promotion confirmed that Stipe Miocic will defend the UFC heavyweight title against Francis Ngannou at UFC 260.

The long-discussed title fight is set for Saturday, March 27th, although the location has not been revealed. ESPN is reporting that the card is expected to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The heavyweight title fight is a rematch from January 2018 when Miocic was on his first reign as champion and defeated Ngannou by unanimous decision at UFC 220.

Miocic, 38, last fought in August where he defeated Daniel Cormier by unanimous decision and won their trilogy.

Since the losses to Miocic and Derrick Lewis in 2018, Ngannou has won his last four fights with first-round stoppages, the longest fight during that stretch lasted 1:11. Ngannou has not fought since last May when he knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds at UFC 249.

This is the second title fight scheduled for March 27th joining the previously announced bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega for the UFC featherweight title.
