Last week on Dynamite, AEW announced that their Women’s World Title eliminator tournament would be kicking off soon and the winner of the tournament will challenge Hikaru Shida for her Women’s Title. One of the first-round matches was announced on the 1/27 Dynamite as NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb is taking on the returning Riho. Riho last wrestled for AEW in March of 2020. Since then, she has been wrestling in Japan for STARDOM, DDT and several independent promotions in the country.
AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks are entering the Battle Royal at Beach Break on 2/3. The winners of the match will challenge Matt and Nick Jackson for the tag titles at Revolution but if The Young Bucks win, they get to select their opponents for Revolution. The duo scored a win alongside IMPACT Tag Team Champions Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson in the main event and they teased that they could take on Gallows and Anderson if they are to win the aforementioned Battle Royal. The rules have been set for next week's Tag Team Battle Royal for a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships next week.

AEW confirmed that their Revolution pay-per-view is being moved to March 7th. It was first reported by Dave Meltzer that the Revolution event was being moved from February 27th to March 7th.
During the Inside The NBA show on TNT prior to Dynamite, Shaquille O’Neal issued the challenge to Cody Rhodes for a match in March. On Dynamite, Cody alongside Arn Anderson addressed Shaq and Jade Cargill’s respective challenges. Cody mentioned that he did not have anybody on his side for Jade because Brandi Rhodes is pregnant. Arn Anderson then brought out Red Velvet who has had several physical interactions with Jade.
