During Saturday’s special edition of WWE Backstage, the first two entrants of the men’s Royal Rumble and the final entrant of the women’s Rumble were confirmed.
On the broadcast, it was announced that Randy Orton will be the first entrant in Sunday’s Men’s Royal Rumble match and the returning Edge will be #2. This rekindles their feud of 2020 that saw the two have a pair of matches at WrestleMania and Backlash. In the latter match, Edge suffered a torn triceps muscle that removed from action for the remainder of the year.
Orton has previously won the Royal Rumble in 2009 and 2017. Edge was victorious in 2010 and made his return in last year’s Royal Rumble match after a nearly nine-year hiatus from in-ring action.
In the Women’s Royal Rumble, Natalya defeated Tamina in order to secure the #30 position in the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
