Edge wins 2021 men’s Royal Rumble match

For the second time in his career, Edge won the men's Royal Rumble match and he'll be challenging for a world title at WrestleMania.

Closing out the 34th annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view was the men’s Royal Rumble match. There were several surprises and returns during the bout but the final four were Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Edge and Christian. As the numbers came down to two, Edge and Seth Rollins went at it but it was Edge eliminating Rollins to seemingly win the Rumble.

Earlier in the night, Randy Orton was removed from the match because of an “injury” and he came back at the end and RKO’d Edge. As Orton attempted to toss Edge out of the ring, Edge reversed the momentum and threw Orton over the top rope and won the Royal Rumble match. It was 11 years ago today that Edge won his first Rumble.

Edge is a member of the RAW roster and the current WWE Champion is Drew McIntyre. McIntyre opened the Royal Rumble pay-per-view by defeating Goldberg to retain his title.

The two winners of the 2021 Royal Rumble matches are Bianca Belair and Edge and to hear POST Wrestling’s recap of the show, head over to this link.
