New Women’s Tag Team Champions crowned at WWE Royal Rumble

With some assistance from Ric Flair and Lacey Evans, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler have become Women's Tag Team Champions again.

Kicking off the in-ring action at the 2021 Royal Rumble event was RAW Women’s Champion Asuka and Charlotte Flair defending their Women’s Tag Team Championships against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. The conclusion of the match saw Jax and Baszler recapture the Women’s Tag Titles following some assistance from Ric Flair and Lacey Evans.

As Charlotte was fighting off both Jax and Baszler, Ric Flair’s theme hit and while Charlotte was focused on her father, Lacey entered the camera’s view from behind. Charlotte knocked Lacey off the ring apron which led to Ric coming to Lacey’s aid and handing her an object to wrap around her knuckles to deliver the Woman’s Right to Charlotte.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are now two-time Women’s Tag Team Champions. They lost the titles to Flair and Asuka at the TLC pay-per-view. Charlotte, Nia and Shayna Baszler are all competing in the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match.
