Ring of Honor announces that Jay Lethal has re-signed with the promotion

Ring of Honor has confirmed that Jay Lethal has re-signed with the promotion. Details regarding of length of the new deal were not announced.

Ring of Honor has confirmed that Jay Lethal has re-signed with the promotion. Details regarding of length of the new deal were not announced.

Lethal, 35, is one-half of the current ROH tag champions with Jonathan Gresham and both are part of The Foundation group with Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus.

Lethal’s history with ROH goes back to 2003 when he wrestled as Hydro and became a protégé of Samoa Joe during Joe’s lengthy title reign. He departed the company in 2006 and worked for TNA Wrestling and worked for the group until departing in 2011.

That same year, Lethal returned to ROH and been with the company since. In June 2015, Lethal won the ROH Championship from Jay Briscoe at Best in the World and held the title for fourteen months. He regained the title in June 2018 and was champion until April of the following year losing the title to Matt Taven in a ladder match at the G1 Supercard event at Madison Square Garden.
