Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez secured their spot on the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day card. They defeated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter to do so. At TakeOver, it will be Kai and Raquel versus Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon or Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. The winners become the first-ever women’s Dusty Cup winners and they’ll earn a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships which are currently in the possession of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.
Edge made two separate appearances on the show and the first was with Pete Dunne and NXT Champion Finn Balor. Edge also ran into Karrion Kross in the parking lot.

Prior to that face-to-face, Santos Escobar defeated Curt Stallion to retain the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Following the match, Kross took out Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde and then went in the ring to stare down Escobar.

The individual that has been accompanying Xia Li and Boa to the ring is named “Tian Shan”. Scheduled for next week’s NXT is a semi-final match in the men’s Dusty Classic that’ll see Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) take on Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher.
