AEW Dynamite notes: Sting takes powerbomb, Tully Blanchard, Jim Ross-WWE

A handful of notes coming out of Dynamite including Sting taking a bump, Jim Ross calling Kenny Omega the WWE Champion and much more.

Sting and TNT Champion Darby Allin are scheduled to take on Ricky Starks and Brian Cage in a Street Fight at AEW’s Revolution pay-per-view on March 7th. This will be Sting’s first match since his WWE World Heavyweight Title match against Seth Rollins in 2015. On the 2/17 Dynamite, Sting took a powerbomb from Brian Cage. This was Sting’s first time publicly taking a maneuver in the ring since his injury in 2015.

Prior to cutting to a segment with Kenny Omega and Don Callis, Jim Ross called Omega the WWE Champion.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes appeared on the show to announce the gender of their child and they are having a girl.

On the 3/3 Dynamite, Tully Blanchard will be in action for the first time in 2007. Blanchard is competing in a six-man tag team match alongside FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) to take on Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy & Marko Stunt).

The Young Bucks defeated Santana and Ortiz to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships. They are officially set to defend their titles against Chris Jericho and MJF at Revolution.

In a first-round match of the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator tournament, Riho pinned NWA World Women’s Champion Serena Deeb.

Jon Moxley is getting his rematch for the AEW World Championship at Revolution. He and Kenny Omega will compete in a Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match. Renee Paquette reacted to the news:

Also scheduled for the 2/24 Dynamite is Hangman Adam Page vs. Isiah Kassidy, Jake Hager vs. Brandon Cutler, Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison & Brian Pillman Jr.) vs. Ricky Starks and Brian Cage and along with those bouts, come next week, the semi-finalists from the USA bracket in the AEW women’s tournament will be determined.
