WWE Raw bounced back on Monday after hitting its lowest figures of the year one week ago. The show topped 1.8 million viewers and finished on top of the cable charts.
Monday’s episode averaged 1,810,000 viewers and a 0.57 in the 18-49, equaling Bravo’s “Below Deck” for the top spot on the cable charts that night. Compared with last week, Raw improved by 5.5 percent in viewers and increased 16 percent in the demo.
While its viewership average was still the second-lowest of 2021, the demo figure placed it fourth for the year.
The show began with 1,935,000 viewers and a 0.60 in the 18-49 demo, in the second-hour viewership fell to 1,806,000 with a 0.57 in the demo, and the final hour featuring the Gauntlet Match averaged 1,690,000 viewers with a 0.53 in the demo. While the Gauntlet Match outperformed the final hour of last week’s bad number, it was still its third-lowest final hour of the year. From the first hour to the third, viewership fell by 13 percent and the 18-49 demo dropped by 12 percent.
Almost all the key demos saw a rebound effect as women 18-49 jumped by 27 percent, women 12-34 improved by 15 percent, and the only demo that saw a decrease was men 12-34 that fell by 14 percent from last week.
The first to third-hour drop was felt greatest with women 12-34 that dropped 33 percent in the last hour, adults 18-34 fell 25 percent in the last hour, and men 12-34 dropped 18 percent. Males 18-49 held up strongest throughout the show experienced an 8 percent drop from the first to the third hour.
Due to the uniqueness of the Gauntlet Match taking up the entire third hour, I also looked at the second to third-hour drop. The largest was among women 12-34 falling by 25 percent, followed by adults 18-34 dropping 22.5 percent and men 12-34 down by 18 percent. The other key demos all experienced declines of less than 10 percent.
In Canada, Raw was up against a Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Ottawa Senators and Winnipeg Jets vs. Edmonton Oilers game with Raw finishing with 233,600 viewers and 132,100 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360.
