For the first time in his career, Bobby Lashley captured the WWE Championship. He defeated The Miz on the 3/1 edition of Monday Night Raw in the main event of the show.

Lashley versus The Miz was scheduled for the 9 PM hour but Miz could not compete due to “stomach issues”. The match was rescheduled for the 10 PM hour and when it began, Miz left the ring, took the WWE Championship and ran to the back which got him counted out. To close the show, Shane McMahon assigned fellow WWE talents to surround the ring so Miz wasn’t able to get away from Lashley and it was The Hurt Business’ CEO using the ‘Hurt Lock’ to secure the WWE Title.

With this victory, Lashley joins Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kofi Kingston on the list of Black WWE Champions.

John Pollock and Wai Ting are recapping the title switch and the rest of Monday’s Raw on the live installment of Rewind-A-Raw.
