NXT’s Kacy Catanzaro was last in action for the brand in late February when she was defeated by Xia Li in singles competition and the match ended by way of referee stoppage. The commentary team stated that Catanzaro may have suffered a broken leg after Xia’s post-match attack and when taking to social media, Catanzaro confirmed that she is dealing with a leg injury but suffered a partial tear of her LCL.

She added that she’s working with WWE’s medical staff to get back when it’s possible to do so.

Catanzaro formed a team with Kayden Carter and the duo made it to the semifinals of the women’s Dusty Classic but lost to the eventual winners, Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.

Fellow NXT talent Wes Lee confirmed that his hand is broken which led to he and Nash Carter’s NXT Tag Title opportunity being removed from the 3/3 edition of NXT. The current champions Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan will be facing Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher in non-title match instead.

Gonzalez and Kai are going to be challenging Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Tag Titles on the show.
