The BUY-IN started off the night for AEW before the Revolution pay-per-view commenced at 8 PM EST. Thunder Rosa and Riho teamed up to take on Britt Baker and Rebel. Prior to the match, it was confirmed that Rebel was not “medically cleared” to compete and that Baker’s new partner would be revealed shortly before the bout. Coming to the ring to team with Baker was Maki Itoh who competed in the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator tournament on the Japan side of the bracket.
The conclusion of the match saw the “injured” Rebel hit Thunder Rosa over the head with her crutch which led to Baker scoring the victory for her team.

Itoh was in action over the past several days in Japan. She competed in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s ‘Futari No Princess Max Heart’ tournament and lost in the finals.
Itoh was eliminated in the first round of the AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator tournament. Just several weeks after her first round exit, she made her U.S. debut for All Elite Wrestling and secured a W in that venture.
