Coming out of the 3/8 WWE Raw, two championship matches were set up for next week’s show. Mustafa Ali is getting his shot at the U.S. Title when he takes on the current champion Riddle. The opportunity came about when Ali defeated Riddle last week. Ali did share on social media that he is working through a torn PCL at the moment.
Joining the lineup next week is Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin defending the Raw Tag Team Championships against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Benjamin and Alexander won the titles from New Day at the TLC pay-per-view in December.
Reginald, who was cut loose on SmackDown by Carmella and Sasha Banks, aligned himself with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. On last week’s SmackDown, Jax took to Reginald after catching him about to exit the arena. He played a role in Jax and Baszler retaining the Women’s Tag Team Titles in their match against Naomi and Lana on Raw.
New WWE backstage correspondent Kevin Patrick debuted on tonight’s show in a segment with AJ Styles, Omos and Randy Orton.
