Headlining the 3/10 episode of NXT was Finn Balor defending the NXT Championship against Adam Cole. Balor retained the gold but during the match, Kyle O’Reilly made his return to NXT TV after being ambushed by Cole several weeks ago. O’Reilly went on to brawl with Cole into the backstage area.

NXT Champion Finn Balor stood in the ring and watched the brawl unfold between O’Reilly and Cole. Standing behind Balor was Karrion Kross who was asked what took him so long to step up again.

Io Shirai retained her NXT Women’s Title by defeating Toni Storm at the top of the show. Later in the program, in a segment featuring the former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai reflecting on their loss of the titles, Io approached Gonzalez and said she wants her next.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin is set to make his return to NXT in the United States next week. Devlin has been competing as champion on the NXT UK brand. He will come face-to-face with fellow NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar.

In a backstage interview segment with Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher, Ciampa mentioned that he would like to step in the ring with NXT UK Champion WALTER.
Scheduled for next week’s show is Ciampa and Thatcher teaming up to take on Imperium’s Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner. Austin Theory will be competing as well as he’ll face Dexter Lumis. L.A. Knight, the former Eli Drake is making his NXT in-ring debut on 3/17. He had a scuffle with Bronson Reed on 3/10. In addition to those matches, Leon Ruff is going one-on-one with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. Ruff scored a win over Scott on 2/17.
