Edge added as special enforcer, updated card for WWE Fastlane

The main event of SmackDown featured Edge defeating Jey Uso to special the special enforcer for the Universal Championship Match at Fastlane.

The main event of Friday Night SmackDown featured Edge defeating Jey Uso to special the special enforcer for the Universal Championship Match at Fastlane.

Edge pinned Jey Uso after attacking Jey’s shoulder throughout the match, overcoming a rib injury, and hitting the spear for the win.

After the match, Edge was blindsided by Roman Reigns and hit with a spear. Jey attacked Daniel Bryan on the floor with Bryan also hit with a spear from Reigns to end the show.

Sunday’s Universal Championship Match between Reigns and Bryan will determine who defends the championship against Edge at WrestleMania 37 in three weeks at Raymond James Stadium.

On Friday Night SmackDown, a new match was added to Sunday’s show with Seth Rollins taking on Shinsuke Nakamura, as well as a U.S. title match with Riddle defending Mustafa Ali.

In another update to the Fastlane card, WWE is now listing the match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus as a “No Holds Barred Match”.
