For weeks, former NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley’s official arrival to Monday Night Raw was promoted. She made her return to the brand on the 3/22 episode and confronted Raw Women’s Champion Asuka.
Asuka had just defeated Peyton Royce in a singles match before coming face-to-face with Ripley. Asuka was then challenged by Ripley for a Raw Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 37. In response, the champion grabbed the microphone, stated that Rhea is not ready for her and accepted the challenge.
