WWE will be leaving Tropicana Field after next week with a final taping slated for Friday, April 2nd, and requiring several pre-tapes.
It was first reported by Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports that WWE will be leaving Tropicana Field after April 2nd, which POST Wrestling can confirm is the company’s final date at the stadium.
As a result of the timing of their departure, the go-home editions of Raw and Friday Night SmackDown leading into WrestleMania will be taped before they leave Tropicana Field, according to multiple sources.
The taped edition of Raw will air on Monday, April 5th and the taped episode of Friday Night SmackDown will air Friday, April 9th.
POST Wrestling can also confirm that the Hall of Fame will be taped over two days at Tropicana Field before the end of WWE’s residency. Fightful Select had already reported that the Hall of Fame will be taped the week prior on Tuesday & Thursday and also reported that the 4/9 edition of SmackDown would be taped before the 4/2 show, which is scheduled to be live next week.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will air on Peacock and the WWE Network on Tuesday, April 6th.
Multiple sources noted the following taping schedule as follows for the final week at Tropicana Field:
*Monday, March 29th – Raw
*Tuesday, March 30th – Raw for 4/5 & WWE Hall of Fame
*Thursday, April 1st – SmackDown and WWE Hall of Fame
*Friday, April 2nd – SmackDown
