Khali, real name Dalip Singh Rana, signed with WWE in 2006 after working for New Japan Pro Wrestling as Giant Singh. He was fast-tracked to the main roster for a program with The Undertaker that year that included Khali pinning The Undertaker at the Judgment Day pay-per-view that year.

The Indian Express noted that the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will air in India on Sony sports channels, as well as the WWE Network on SonyLIV.

In the summer of 2007, Edge was forced to vacate the World Championship on SmackDown due to injury and led to Khali winning the championship in a 20-man battle royal. His only reign as World Champion lasted two months and lost the title to Batista in September.

Given his extreme limitations as a wrestler, once the company got what they could out him as a serious threat, he was related to comedic roles. His tenure as an in-ring performer with the company lasted until November 2014 when his contract expired. Khali has made sporadic appearances including at the Greatest Royal Rumble card in April 2018 in Saudi Arabia.

He would open up a wrestling school in India and is a big celebrity in that country from his WWE notoriety and appearances in Bollywood films.

Khali joins Kane, Eric Bischoff, and Molly Holly as part of the Hall of Fame class of 2021, which will be taped over two nights at the ThunderDome next week and airs on Tuesday, April 6th on the WWE Network.
