IMPACT Wrestling is moving its Rebellion pay-per-view one day later with the new date of Sunday, April 25th featuring the Title vs. Title main event.

The company issued a press release noting the change and avoids running its pay-per-view the same night as UFC 261, which now has a big main event involving Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal for the UFC Welterweight Championship.

IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice-President Scott D’Amore:

Sunday night has traditionally been the night for the big wrestling events in the sport’s history – and REBELLION is as huge of an event as any of them. Swann vs. Omega, champion vs. champion, title vs. title is a happening that every wrestling fan will want to witness … it just feels right that REBELLION take place on Sunday.

This is no gimmick, no sleight of hand. Wrestling fans can take me at my word – either Rich Swann or Kenny Omega will walk out of REBELLION as both the IMPACT and AEW World Champion. History will happen at REBELLION!

Earlier this week, FITE TV had begun listing Rebellion for the new date and POST Wrestling did inquire with IMPACT Wrestling for clarification.

The pay-per-view will have a start time of 8 pm ET. It should be the largest pay-per-view of the Anthem era of IMPACT Wrestling with its most high-profile match involving AEW Champion Kenny Omega and IMPACT Champion Rich Swann headlining the show.

The card will also feature IMPACT tag champions FinJuice defending against The Good Brothers and defenses of all the IMPACT championships.
