Karrion Kross captures NXT Championship at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

For the second time in his NXT career, Karrion Kross has captured the NXT Championship

Finn Balor and Karrion Kross’ NXT Championship match co-main evented TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Balor’s most recent NXT Title run dated back to September of 2020 when he won it one month after Kross had to relinquish the title. Eight months after relinquishing the gold, Kross regained the title by defeating Balor.

Kross finished Balor off by hitting him with a forearm to the back of the head. With his title win, Kross became a two-time NXT Champion.

Kross defeated Keith Lee at TakeOver: XXX in August of 2020 for the title but during the match, Kross suffered a separated shoulder which put him on the shelf until December of last year.

Following TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, the upNXT crew will be going live for their review of the pay-per-view.
