Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin, NXT’s dual Cruiserweight Champions clashed to open TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. The two competed in a Ladder match to determine the Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion of NXT.
Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza of Legado Del Fantasma interfered during the match and pushed Devlin off a ladder which ultimately led to Escobar holding both titles over his head as the winner.

Post-match, Escobar celebrated on stage with his son, Wilde and Mendoza as the sole NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
Devlin was champion at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and was not able to defend the title on NXT’s U.S. program so a tournament was held to crown a new champion and Escobar emerged victorious from that tourney.
