Riddle and Sheamus met once again but this occasion was at WrestleMania 37 for the WWE United States Championship. Their last bout took place on the 3/29 edition of Monday Night Raw and it was Sheamus defeating Riddle. Their latest match had the same result as Sheamus became United States Champion.
The final sequence of the match saw Riddle attempt to springboard off the ropes but he was kneed in the face by Sheamus. Riddle was bleeding from the mouth after taking the knee.

Sheamus is now a three-time WWE United States Champion. The only active men’s title that Sheamus has not won is the Intercontinental Championship.
