Newly crowned NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai took the ring on the 4/13 edition of NXT to discuss Raquel’s win over Io Shirai in the main event of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night one. Raquel ended Io’s 300 day reign as champion at TakeOver.
While Raquel was speaking about her journey, she was cut off by the debuting Franky Monet, formerly known as multi-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie. Vignettes promoting Monet’s arrival in NXT have aired for a number of weeks and she put Raquel on notice that she is coming for her spot.
