Pat McAfee will be part of the Friday Night SmackDown broadcast team beginning with tonight’s episode from the Yuengling Center.
The news was revealed by McAfee on Friday morning with McAfee joining Michael Cole as the new Friday night broadcast team on Fox.

This comes after the shift of Corey Graves to Raw, where its new three-man booth includes Graves, Byron Saxton, and Adnan Virk.
McAfee received lots of praise for his performance last year against Adam Cole at the NXT TakeOver: XXX last August. McAfee would follow that performance with a match at TakeOver: War Games last December and was installed as the mouthpiece for the heel group of Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch. McAfee stopped appearing on NXT programming shortly after War Games.
In November 2019, McAfee was flown into SmackDown and briefly did commentary on the infamous episode where NXT talent was inserted on the show after the flight issues from Saudi Arabia left the company shorthanded.
